In the middle of the night I recieved an urgent TEXT request my help. Dutifully I replied and rushed over to find many of my student's running around like headless chickens.

I will spend the day helping setup the go negosyo booth and video brochure.

Shout Out! Computer 2

We're getting off to a good start! Our main project, the school media library, is going to revolutionize how you get information. I truly believe that exposure to all these different artists, writers, composers, etc... will free you minds from the shackles of the unenlightened in the Philippines. It's gonna freakin ROCK!

The new guys you have all this week to come up with blogs that you can regularly update (5 times a week), the content should be something that you are really into.

Week 1
• Ebay – learning on-line economics. Must sell at least 1 item on-line. Deadline end of term
• Blogs – conceptualization of blog content.

Week 2
• Presentation Blog – daily blog grading begins

Week 3
• Installing Software – how to install locally available software
• Protecting your PC – how to protect your computer from malicious software

Week 4-5
• Photo Editing
o Picasa – A great simply program for editing photo’s for on-line use available at www.picasa.com
o Photoshop – the most robust photo editing program EVER!

Week 6
• Audio – we will tackle the different audio format such as MP3’s, Wav, Ogg, midi etc (assign a presentation)
o Soundforge – One of the best sound editing solutions around.

Week 7
• Powerpoint – a great business tool for presentations we will be integrating edited photo’s and sound.

Week 8-9
• Video
o Formats – presentation
o Editing – basic editing Adobe premier and or Sony Vegas

Week 10
• Final Project – Group work integrating Edited images, sound and video in a DVD

Attendance

Attendance:
1. Do not absent yourself, each absent is a point deducted from your grade.
2. Accumulate 6 absences and you will have to retake the course next time it is offered.
3. Any student who leaves the room and does not return after ten minutes is considered absent.
4. Do not be late:
a. 3 lates is equivalent to one absent. 18 lates (that’s a tardy for everyday in class) and you retake the course next time it’s offered.
b. Coming to class after 20 minutes is considered an absence.
c. Previous lectures will not be repeated for your benefit, you have to catch up - so don’t be late.
5. You will be considered absent of you leave the room and not return after 10 minutes.
